Hello Charlie,

It's good to hear from you. A reminder of a truly enjoyable occasion. You may remember that our holiday  coincided with a wedding and we were a fairly large party( 8 adults and 9 children).It turned out to be very successful for all, which was due in no small part to the excellent facilities at Vilanova de Bernadas and the kindness of Josep and Ramona( please convey our thanks to them). The trips to the farm for the children were particularly thoughtful and if we take a similar holiday to Catalonia in the future you will be our first point of call.

We found the description of the property accurate and as we know and love catalonia it was good to get to see something of the surrounding countryside in this lovely area.

We had a really excellent time at Vilanova de Bernadas. The house was extremely spacious for 8 people and the 2 downstairs bedrooms had just been finished. These were very nicely done out.

The pool was great, the kids loved it, very private and great views over the fields and valley below. Walks around the area were lovely, very quiet not a motorised sound to be heard.

Only one minor drawback is the drive up the stony track to the main road but for a superbly quiet location in the middle of beautiful surroundings, great views of the mountain peaks, a drawback we would gladly put up with again.

There are things to visit in the area but you do need to drive a fair bit to reach them. For a week's pure relaxation however, it's difficult to beat. Meals in local restaurants at midday were an enticing focus of the day for parents and kids alike in our party. Lovely, basic but good quality country food. The top plus point however were Joseph and his wife who were so incredibly welcoming and helpful, such kind people and at the same time very sensitive to their customers needs for privacy as well.

Next year we'd be quite interested in staying somewhere near Olot to explore that area so we'll have a look at your website over the next few months but if you have somewhere to recommend for 8 people with a pool, please do let me know.

Our hosts were lovely, and the house is great. The pool is absolutely fabulous, with wonderful views and a state of the art filter system so it was always very clean - far better than some hotels we've stayed in!

The house is very well equipped. Our car took a bit of a battering on the 2km track off the main road, they could do something to smooth out some of the potholes, and a list of restaurants and interesting things to see in the area would be useful (as we forgot to print off the relevant pages from your helpful website!).

All in all, we had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend it for a peaceful and tranquil holiday.
