Charlie,

Just returned from our trip to Spain. I wanted to let you know we had a fantastic time. Our accommodations were exactly as you described and I'm sure will be very much in demand in the future. Your service was great and you will hear from us again if we make it out your way for a holiday.

Thanks again,
Mary Beth Steidl

Hi Charlie,

Firstly much appreciated your help re setting up accomodation.

We unfortunatley got the "bad week" re the weather, rather dull and 1and half days of rain, however Mas den Bou was excellent as we had plenty of space for our two young children. You were right, Migel couldnt have been more helpful, he lent us maps etc and made sure we had everything we needed, incl a lead to re-charge our video as we had left our adapotors a home! (we were tring to travel light for a change)

We would recommend the accomodation, it was very clean and spacious and had a good atmosphere. Being on the farm, it felt much more relaxing than the ave holiday appt and I would imagine that in summer it would be great to eat out and take advantage of the BBQ.

Thanks again for your help, best wishes for 2004.
Johnathon

Dear Charlie

We have safely returned from our trip to Catalonia. The arrangements went well and we were very confortable in our accomodation. Miguel was most helpful and pleasant.

However we would draw your attention to the directions to Mas d'en Bou. The very last section is misleading - literally, as we ended up heading for the beach on a track in the dark.
Your directions read as follows:- At the end of the row of apartments the road narrows a little and you wind a bit, first to the right and then to the left and over a little bridge, and go straight for about 2 kms passing a couple of campsites and a couple of horseback riding clubs (Hipica Mas Paguina is the better of the two clubs) until you reach the end of the pavement, where you turn left and after about 100 meters you turn in to the right for the Mas d'en Bou. You can see the house from way before the last turn.
The section highlighted was confusing on two points...what is the pavement? and it is actually a RIGHT turn! It would be simpler to say "......300 meters after the second horseback riding club (big sign for Hippica.....) turn right and Mas d'en Bou is first on right - easily seen from way before the last turn."
Hope this is helpful to others who might ,like us, arrive as darkness is falling.
(Charlie adds: Yes, thank you so much! I have corrected the directions text. I am sorry!)
Otherwise we had a very enjoyable break in comfortable surroundings.
Many thanks,
Paddy and John Wallace

Dear Mr. Williams

I would like to tell you that we were very content with the rental in Mas d'en Bou, where we rented a flat i the beginning of July this year. It was beyond our expectations and we would like you to know that.

The owner was very kean on making our stay as pleasant as possible, and he gave us much information about the area what to see and so on.

So I'd just like to thank you for helping us with the finding of that place, and I'm sure we will be back another year. (Hoping the rent will not increase because of this)

Kindly regards
Mogens Koefoed

Dear Charlie Certainly. I'm just off back to the Uk from Geneva for Christmas and will drop you a line on Mas den Bou once I get settled. I may even have a couple of photographs that you might want to use.

Have a good Christmas and New Year
Best regards
Steve

Dear Charles,

Just a short note to let you know how we got on in Mas D'en Bou. Your directions were excellent from Barcelona airport, bringing us easily to L'Estartit. However, at the last turn, "when the pavement runs out" you mentioned to turn left. We should actually have turned right. This would not have mattered if we had arrived, as planned in the daytime, we would have seen the house form the road. As our luggage was delayed and we were delayed leaving, we arrived at night and so did not see the house. We viewed a few farm fields for 15 minutes before heading back into town and phoned Miguel, who came and collected us immediately. So you might change that last line for nighttime arrivals..!

Miguel and Maria were charming. The apartment was just as you described - as you might expect, I was a little concerned about booking accommodation over the internet with 3 small children, whose needs are not very flexible. However, it was perfect. We also had baskets of fresh linen delivered to us every 4 or 5 days. Miguel provided us with a cot, which might be handy for others to know. We had actually brought a travel cot, though we never used it. Miguel's uncle showered us with fresh vegetables from the garden. All in all, they could not do more to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.

As you mentioned, L'Estartit beach was very safe. We also tried the waterparks and would recommend Aquadiver in Platja D'Aro as being especially suitable for younger children - ours range from 7 years down. Waterworld in Lloret de Mar was much busier and had more groups of teenagers there- though the "water mountain" ride is excellent.

So, many thanks for all your help. It was a very successful holiday.
