The reason for this must be the excellent location - just between busy coast and tranquil mountians...

The main building, the enormous (1050m2) fortified farmhouse, has been carefully transformed into one of the area's finest B&B's. This truly exceptional mansion of thick stone walls and enormous irregular ceiling beams is tastefully decorated with some fine antiques and is comfortable without being fussy.

Bedroom at Mas SalvaneraIt's eight rooms (four with double beds and four with two twin beds, each with private bath) are situated far apart from one another over two floors, each floor with several sitting areas, such as the cozy library with comfortable reading chairs, or the plump sofas around the enormous second floor fireplace.

The grounds surrounding the house are well-kept, with flower gardens, a grassy lawn, fruit trees, and an exceptionally large pool.
The owners, Ramon and Rocio, live in the restored barn adjacent to the main house. They obviously take great pride in their B&B and the quality meals of traditional Catalan fare they serve their guests (see meal prices below).
