This is the absolute best kind of recommendation! Mr Andre rented for one week last summer - 2007 - and wants to return this coming summer - 2008 - for two weeks. I keep telling people that this is an excellent house for 2000 Euros per week! Shame we get so few bookings!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa de les Monges. It is an ideal house for a party as although charming, it is fairly basically furnished so you don't have to worry about breaking or damaging anything. There is plenty of room - we didn't even use 2 of the communal rooms and spent much of the time in the big kitchen in front of the open fire.

A definite pro to the house was its terrace, which was a real sun-trap even on a chilly November day. All in all, I would definitely recommend the house to others as long as they weren't after anything too flash.

I was actually going to contact you anyway as we left a couple of things behind: a couple of soft baby toys in the cot and more importantly a white, linen table runner which I had taken to help decorate the table. It would have got wrapped up in all the linen at the end of the stay so if Neus still has it, do you think you could arrange for her to send it to me? It isn't hugely important but was a wedding present so I am feeling a bit guilty. If she could do that, I can transfer the cost of postage directly into her account. My address is: .....

I am writing belatedly to let you know how much we enjoyed our holiday at Casa de les Monges.

The house is ideal for several families to rent - lots of space and rooms. The terrace was great for al fresco eating. Neus was very helpful.

We really enjoyed the village of Osor. Everyone was very friendly. Great butchers and little corner shop with barrels of wine which you can buy by the litre. Nice local bars too - one conveniently overlooks a little playground.

The swimming pool was a big hit with both children and adults. We also made use of the tennis court near the swimming pool.

In fact, you could spend a very pleasant holiday without leaving the village.

It would be useful to have some more local information at the house - eg, local walks, shop opening hours.

The only problem we had was collecting our hire car from Hertz at Barcelona Airport on Saturday 30 July. We had a 4 hour wait. Possibly to do with it being the first day of the Spanish holidays. But worth warning future customers about.

It does seem a shame you only got 2 bookings for La Casa de les Monges last summer.

Maybe people prefer to book somewhere with their own pool. However, with a number of young children around, we all found it more relaxing not having our own pool but with easy access to a bigger pool.

Also I suppose Osor is a bit of an unknown - not in any guide books or anything - but we loved it - very green and prettier than some of the places closer to the coast.

Forgot to say that we also went to the restaurant at Santuari de Mare de Deu del Coll which was really friendly - fantastic views too.

I am quite happy for you to put my comments on your web site.

Will definitely recommend your website to others and hope to return to Catalonia before too long.

I have just returned from our 1 week walking holiday in the village of Osor, in the Casa de les Monges, there was 10 people in our group who really enjoy there stay there. We found the property as described in a quiet little village, the people were very friendly and the people who ran the swimming pool very kind and helpful, in fact we had 2 very good evenings in the Restaurant there, where we had excellent meals there both times at a very reasonable cost.

We would recommend this place to any other walking groups who would a relaxing time.

Thank you very much for all your assistance before hand that made our stay there a excellent time.

I just wanted to send you a note to tell you that we really enjoyed our stay at Casa de les Monges. The house was perfect for us, and we were happy to be in a small house away from the crowds on the coast. Please let me know if we left the house in an acceptable condition, and especially if anything was missing (with 9 kids running around, you just don't know what might get hidden away or accidentally packed into luggage). We ended up cooking in almost every night, so I don't really have any recommendations on the restaurant front. We did get the cook at the restaurant in town to prepare a few meals for us. Her prices were very resonable and her piella was really quite good. You might want to warn people about the rather loud church bells which seem to ring twice at every hour (i.e. 12 rings followed by 12 rings at midnight), but other than that we loved the house. We left a message for Neus, but please extend our thanks to her from everyone.

Charles just a note to let you know how much we all enjoyed our holiday in Catalonia.

The Villa itself was in excellent condition with all equipment required to cater for the 12 of us ( although a kettle would not have gone amiss ). The location was very peaceful with some excellent walks / hikes in the surrounding countryside ( a number of our party made very good use of these ). The village itself whilst very small, catered for most of our shopping / eating and drinking needs ( the bakery was very good ) and the major supermarket in Angles was within easy reach. Just a couple of things on the downside, firstly the swimming pool advertised on the web site was not yet open for the summer ( I would reccommend anyone desperate for a pool to check when it opens for the season before booking ) and secondly the bells in the local church take a bit of getting used to as they seemed to get a bit stuck at 8am each morning and continued chimming loudly for about 15 minutes. However these are only small issues and I can safely say that all those who came with us to Casa De La Monges had a thouroughly enjoyable holiday and none of us would hesitate to book a villa through your site in the future.
