We loved the house, everything was super. We had no problem at al with the noise from the airplanes. Nobody did. The house and pool were perfect for our two families. Kind regards, Tanja ----- Original Message ----- From: gerri To: Charles Williams Sent: Thursday, August 18, 2005 2:48 PM Subject: Re: Can Salva week 30 july Hi Charlie we loved it. The pool was great. The house was spacious. After the 1st day we didn't even notice much aircraft noise. I liked being away from lots of other holiday makers. We like the solitude. Pilar was great, really helpful. She let us borrow her DVD player when the one in the house was away getting repaired. That was vital to our kids, because we came inside when it was too hot in the middle of the day. I'm sure others will also enjoy it. Firstly, the house was great and the pool was absolutely brilliant! I don't think we could fault either. We even found we could communicate OK with Pilar once we realised she spoke French. Secondly, we think we may have left a camera behind at the house. Having unpacked here (only just completed - it's been a hectic week one way and another) we can't find any trace of it or the camera case, and our last definite recollection of it was at the house. We're pretty sure it wasn't lost or stolen at the airport as in the current climate we were watching our luggage like hawks. Can you ask Pilar if they found it: it is a Sony DSC52 camera, silver, with a dark blue carrying case. I will have left it outside on one of the fenceposts by the pool - we took some photos of us all outside the house using the self timer immediately before we left. This was on the Saturday we left (30 July). If we did leave it, let me know the cost for it to be posted over here and I'll send cash. Thirdly, the notes you sent beforehand about the house said there would be a box of basic supplies there when we arrived, but there wasn't. This wouldn't have been a problem except that the plane was delayed and we got lost finding Can Barcelo so we didn't arrive at the house until 10:00pm ish, so we couldn't nip to the local supermarket to stock up with milk and bread. It would probably be worth mentioning in your 'directions' email which you send to guests beforehand that it's advisable to stock up at the Alcampo supermarket near Barcelona airport before going to the house. Also (again not a big deal as we hadn't intended to use them anyway, but you might like to change the wording on the web page) there was no DVD or video player at the house as mentioned in your description. And finally, we were more than happy with the holiday, and we wouldn't have any hesitation about booking through you again! Thanks for all your work on our behalf. regards Barry Sandell |
