up to 27 max. in 10 rooms, 12 bathrooms, this is no doubt the house with the greatest WOW-factor in my website.  Although not really on the Costa Brava (it is 40 kms due north of Barcelona, 2.5 kms from the pleasant village of Castellterçol, this new property deserves to be seen so I have decided to put it into both the Costa Brava listings and the Barcelona area listings, where it really belongs. This is a massive luxury (again, the L word is justified) mansion on a very private 10 hectaire hilltop property in the middle of a natural park reserve, with indoor and outdoor swimming pools & great views of the Pyrenees. The location and the grounds are tops, but what really sets this house apart is the very high quality of its interiors. Not inexpensive but do take a look at what a high-quality Catalan masia looks like!  Free internet.

Ref. CB 800 - Casa Sant Juan

sleeps 20 or so in 9 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms,  (2 of these outdoors poolside and BBQ side).  Set on a large private 35 hectaire fenced property under pines, 30 kms north of Barcelona, 12 highway kms inland from the beaches around Mataro, this property consists of two houses, always rented together to the same group, never separately.  The larger 5 bedroom house (225m2) is brand new and quite elegant, fully air conditioned and with quality furnishings, while the other 4 bedroom house (100m2) is rather simple, and I have been offering this older house for years now, so the owners have a proven track record.  Each house has its own outdoor sitting area and there is a large covered BBQ dining area with seating for all guests, ping pong, etc.  The 10x6 meter swimming pool is larger than most.  Highly recommended, for small and larger groups alike, who wish to be in a nice quiet location with great views, but not far from Barcelona and the sea.  Free WiFi & local cell phones for longer rentals.

Sat to Sat rentals in high-season. Rates for both houses, low: 1500, mid: 2250, high-season: 3000 Euros/week (the two houses are never rented separately). Off-season weekend rates: 900 Euros plus 250 Euros extra night.

Ref. CB 1800 - Can Girones

up to 10 or so in 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a beautifully restored house in an unbeatable location, just off the greens of the new PGA golf course at Caldes de Malavella.  This is 12 kms south of Girona town, 15 kms inland from the middle Costa Brava beaches like San Feliu de Guixols.  Aside from the attractive interior, including 2 living rooms and a separate dining room and kitchen, there is a lovely Japanese-inspired landscaped garden and a private fenced-in swimming pool.  I have stayed here myself twice and I am very enthusiastic about this new house, which is 4 kms to the commuter train in Caldes to Barcelona (every half hour, 1 hour ride) and just 1 hour's drive from Barcelona on the fast AP-7 highway.  Good feedback and excellent price-quality relationship, especially in off-season.  Recommended.

Ref. CB 2300 - El Casal

up to 9 or so in 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a newly restored (2007) cozy little farmhouse at the end of a huge field and edge of a high-plateau, a very private location with incredible views of layer upon layer of the Pyreness mountains fading off to the north. There are two nice outdoor covered dining areas: one near the BBQ and the cascading pool, and most impressive of all, the other covered outdoor dining area, with access directly from kitchen and living room, the large back terrace with (once again) magnificent views.  Feedback so far is very good, and I´ve been working with owners of this house since 1998, so I know you will be in good hands!
