Hi Charlie, just to say La Rovira was great and that we really enjoyed our stay. Regarding the muddle re directions we had, we worked out that La Rovira is approx 10km along the C154 and not 5km, which is why we thought that we had gone wrong. Thought I should let you know, so that you can update your text.

Good morning,

We stayed for 2 weeks in the La Rovira, near Bergà , during July and we were very satisfied abou this location. We are a group of 4 couples with kids and are used to rent a house every year, mostly in France in the past.

The house has been restaured very tastefully, everything seems new, it was very calm and we were absolutely lucky with the weather. As you have several places to sit, to relax or to eat, you notice that the house is big, everybody finds his prefered corner to stay and the kids played out side or downstairs. We enjoyed a lot the part outside, where you have the barbecue and where we took main part of our meals. Knowing that the sheets and he towels were included in the price, also the cleaning at the end of our holidays, we have been more than satisfied and really happy .

The swimming pool by the hotel was most of the time only for us, there were no other visitors and is was like a private swimming pool. We ordered often special cooked dishes from Oriol's kitchen(very famous there)always a day ahead, for the next evening, as a "take-away"and which we found absolutely delicous!(and for a reasonable price)

The owner, Maria Dolores is just a wonderfull and very kind lady, and knows perfectly how to rule this kind of business .

We continue to look on the "web" ,and keep informed on the houses you have, sea side or mountains, hoping to find something as good possibly for one of the next years.

That's it folks !
Thanks & regards

Subject: Feedback

We just got back this week from our trip, which included a stay at La Rovira near Gironella. Thought you might like some feedback:

1) The Prat family is great and the nicest people we've ever met on our (fairly extensive) travels. The house was as expected and their hotel restaurant greatly exceeded expectations. They brought us fresh vegetables, toys for our daughter. We were able to converse in French despite my pathetic Spanish. Overall a great visit.

2) The final part of your directions to the house is wrong. If followed, one ends up driving thru the owner's driveway and onto their farm's roads. Husband Jordi had to come out and save me from sleeping in his pigsty. The hotel and house are 1 km closer to Gironella. One would be best off going to the hotel and being guided to the house from there.

3) They did not understand the dual-signature traveler's check deposit concept and had not cashed our checks before arrival. Their bank seemed to have an issue with the checks and we just ended up giving them cash. Hope our local bank will take the checks now that her acct. number is on them....

4) Thanks for the tip on Tossa de Mar which we really liked.

Thanks again,
The Siebenhellers
