A couple of properties near Barcelona city center

Many of you have rented apartments from me (from this website) in the past. I am happy to say that I have given up the Barcelona apartment rental racket! but I still offer these three nice villas within half an hour from city center, by car or commuter train.

  • prices include all utilities, taxes, sheets and towels, cleaning charges, etc.
  • there are no extra or hidden costs of any kind
  • owners require a deposit of 25% of total rental fee to secure the booking
  • be sure to read the Comments from Past Visitors - a link in each house listing
  • in mid and high-season, rentals minimum one week, usually from Saturday to Saturday
  • high-season is usually from last week in June to end August
  • mid-season is end May to end June, September, Easter, and Christmas
  • low-season prices for weekday to weekday bookings, not taking up 2 weekends

Ref. BCN 200 - Casa Sant Juan

- in our listings since 2002, sleeps 20+ in 9 bedrooms, with 7 bathrooms,  (2 of these outdoor WCs, poolside and BBQ-side).  Set on a huge private 35 hectaire fenced property under mostly oaks & pines, 30 kms north of Barcelona, 12 highway kms inland from the beaches around Mataro, this attractive and very private property consists of two houses, always rented together to the same group, never separately.  The larger 5 bedroom house (225m2) was renovated in 2010 and is very elegant:spacious, fully air conditioned and with high quality furnishings.  The other 4 bedroom house (100m2) has just been renovated this year, 2013, also high-quality but without the A/C. Each house has its own outdoor covered BBQ dining areas, the larger of the two areas with seating for all 20+ guests, ping pong, WC, etc.  Note: the 10x6 meter swimming pool is larger than most. This is a very comfortable large property with excellent views!  You won't believe you are so close to Barcelona!  Highly recommended, for small and larger groups alike, who wish to be in a nice quiet location but not far from Barcelona and the sea.  Free WiFi plugin & local cell phones for longer rentals.

Sat to Sat rentals in high-season. Rates for both houses, low: €1500/week, 20/4-22/6: €2250/wk, 22/6-13/7 & 24/8-31/8 €2700/wk, 13/7-24/8: €3000/wk, 31/8-28/9: €2500/wk (the two houses are never rented separately). NB: -5% for 2-week bookings! Off-season weekend rates: €900 for 1 house or €1200 for the 2 houses for 2 nights plus €250 per extra night.

Ref. BCN 300 - El Turo

new house,2007, but working with owners since 2003, up to 27 or so guests in 10 rooms, 10 bathrooms x 2 WCs, this is no doubt the house with the greatest WOW-factor in my website.  Although not really on the Costa Brava (it is 40 kms due north of Barcelona, 2.5 kms from a pleasant village near the town of Moiá, this new property deserves to be seen so I have decided to put it into both the Costa Brava listings and the Barcelona listings, where it really belongs. This is a massive, luxury (again, the L word is justified) mansion on a 10 hectaire hilltop property in the middle of a natural park reserve, with heated indoor and unheated outdoor swimming pools, a very private location with great views of the Pyrenees. The location and the grounds are tops, but what really sets this house apart is the impressively high quality of its interiors. Not inexpensive but do take a look at what a luxury Catalan farmhouse looks like!  Free internet.

Fri to Fri rentals in high-season; rates based on 19px: low-season (up to 2/6 & after 7/9): €5900/week, mid: (22/6 to 20/7 & 24/8-7/9) €7360/week, high-season: (20/7-24/8) €8600/week. Additional guests €200/week. Off-season weekend rates, €2620 plus €550 per extra night.
