Hi Charlie,

We just wanted to thank you for our lovely stay in Cal Eduard in August. We had a wonderful time and please also thank Neus for her lovely care.

All that you mentioned regarding the house and the area was true. It's actually the first holiday we had since our first child was born that really felt like a holiday...

Thanks,
Gerald

Could you tell me if we have to follow the same instructions as last vacation.

Thank you for your quick response.

Dear Charlie,

On my side, half of the group cannot wait until the 14th. So Mas Roca we'll do another time (and yes I had noted that it was very green).

So we would be pleased to book Cal Eduard for one week (11th-18th August) BUT if you have no one coming before we would be even happier to arrive on Thursday 9th and if you have no one coming after us than we would be happy to stay until the Sunday morning 19th.

In all either 11th to 18th or even better 9th to 19th And very happy to go back to Cal Eduard and Neus

Hi Charlie, don't know if you remember but we stayed at Cal Eduard last August for 2 weeks. Think it was booked in my sisters name Anderson.

I was wondering if the villa is available again this year for the first 2 weeks in August, and what special price you can gives us, bearing in mind we are now poor British people compared to the Euro!!

Anyway look forward to hearing from you

Regards

Charlie,

We are all ready to confirm our holiday, somewhere around the 9 th till the 23rd August

We would like to return fo Cal Eduard as it is near to Sils and the municipal tennis and pool.

Tennis in Sils or Caldes de Malavella was 4€ to 5€ per hour (this is a nice real clay tenis club!). All the best
Christine

Dear Charlie

We enjoyed our 3 week stay at Cal Eduard enormously. What a great place! We especially liked the woods just behind the house, where we forraged for firewood, all kinds of wild spices, and pine nuts. The views over the golf course are lovely and it is very quiet, even with the motorway neatly tucked away just behind the next hill.

You´re right about the house not looking so appealing in the website. I have some photos we took that I will send you in another email. I think they are a bit better, and of course we took all of the garden furniture and table tennis out of the garage to keep our car there, so the garden looks fuller in our photos, with everything out in the sunshine.

We had great weather for all 3 weeks. We had quite a storm one night and enjoyed watching the lightning. By morning the storm had blown away and we had sun the rest of the holiday.

We got to know locals in shops and my husband was able to connect via WIFI at the golf hotel just across the way. He would walk over early in the morning with his laptop and contact his office while having a coffée before the rest of us were even out of bed! Ideal.

I don´t know what I could criticize. Caldes was convenient for shopping and train to Barcelona, and we found a restaurant with lots of grilled meats within walking distance through the woods going towards Girona (I forget the name, but Frontiac or something like that). At night we would walk home using a torch. We ran into a family of wild boars one night! Good thing they were even more frightened than we were.

Lastly, please thank the owner for the discount, and Neus for taking such good care of us. We went to her bar once and she wouldn´t take payment for our drinks!

Very best regards
Felicity Brown

Hi again Charlie!

I hope that everything is ok with you and that the sun shines on you!?

One year ago I rented a house from you that was close to the PGA de Catalunya golf course and I would like to ask if the same house is available for rent again. It is for my Austrian golf prófessionals that will play the Qualifying school.

The period in question would be 27 or 28 of October until the 4 of November.

We liked the house we had last year but if it is not available we would like to have a look at something similar, with a lot of single beds.

Hope to hear from you soon and may the force be with you!

Hi Charlie

We vacated the villa on Thursday and left the keys for Neus, as she requested, in a pot under one of the outside tables. We left behind one minor piece of damage – on several afternoons there were very heavy winds and one particularly heavy gust picked up one of the poolside umbrellas and, well, smashed it. I hope that this is OK.

We had a lovely month in the villa. We were really impressed with the way the villa has been set up. It's unusual to have such a good stock of crockery, cutlery and glasses.and little things like that really count. At the price we paid, there was absolutely nothing we could complain about. I would make a couple of comments, however, for your interest:

There are plenty of big pans but no small ones – they are a far too big for boiling eggs or cooking small quantities

If you want to rent out to the English, you really need a kettle!

The toaster isn't working

That's it really – minor stuff!

Finally, I realize that following the Spanish practice of getting out of the city for the month of August is a must. Can you recommend a house for next year which would allow me to move the family out to close to the coast, have a couple of spare rooms for visitors but is close enough for me to commute into Barcelona for the couple of weeks when I won't be on holiday? We love Sitges but really anwhere close to clean beaches (preferably with no powerboats, jetskis etc) would be good for us.

Thanks again for the recommendation. We've had a great month – even taking into account the long commute for me for three of the four weeks…..

Cheers
Mark

Hi Charles!

Everything was perfect! Especially for a group like us where we were several guys staying there. It is not easy to find houses with a lot of single beds.

PGA de Catalunya is a good golfcourse. The club was busy beacause there were a qualification for the European Tour there which we attended!

We mostly took the car to the course but some walked.

The house is perfect for a gang of guys on a golf vacation!

We were very happy with everything!
