- in our website since 2000, sleeps 36+ in 17 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms: a unique and very attractive baronial mansion (1200m2 on a 15 hectaire private property), Mas Dalt occupies a priviledged hillside position just above the historic lakeside town of Banyoles, with majestic views over the coastal plain of the central Costa Brava. There are three distinct, fully independant & fully equipped living quarters, each with its own full kitchen, large living room, dining room, terraces, bbqs, etc.  Highlights include a 120m2 living/playroom - perfect for large indoor gatherings, and a gorgeous 100m2 outdoor dining terrace seating 40+ with great views just above the 12x5m swimming pool.  Feedback from past guests is excellent!  1 km walk from this house is Can Tapies - see next house.  Sometimes the two are rented together for large gatherings such as weddings in the off-season. Free WiFi and lots of nice extras!  This is not a wild party house.  Noise levels must be normal.

working with owners since 2000, sleeps 25+ in 12 large bedrooms, 9 full bathrooms + 3 wcs, Can Tapies is on the same 15 hectaire property as Mas Dalt, and is another magnificent 1100m2 baronial stone mansion consisting of three fully equipped and independent apartments. One apartment has 5 en suite bedrooms, another flat has 3 en suite bedrooms, and the third flat has 4 bedrooms sharing a double bathroom.  It is very important to stress here that these are not 3 apartments crammed into a normal farmhouse. The house is huge and each apartment is very generously proportioned, with full kitchen, a large living/dining room, big bedrooms, private terraces, and each flat set well apart from one another for privacy. There is a new 100m2 playroom with billiard, ping pong, and babyfoot. The 12x5m swimming pool is set in an olive grove just below the house and next to a football pitch with goalposts.  The views throughout are great!  Great for larger groups but priced for smaller groups who might just want a little extra space!  This is a quiet place.  Large groups of party animals please stay away!  Now with free wifi internet.

Friday to Friday rentals in mid and high-season, rental rates: low-season (November to March): €3290/week, mid-season: (Sept; Oct + April to end June): €4110/week, high-season: €5130/week. Off-season weekend rates: €1750 for 2 nights plus €500 per extra night. NB: -5% for 2-week bookings.

Ref. CB 300 - El Turó

new house,2007, but working with owners since 2003, up to 27 or so guests in 10 rooms, 10 bathrooms x 2 WCs, this is no doubt the house with the greatest WOW-factor in my website.  Although not really on the Costa Brava (it is 40 kms due north of Barcelona, 2.5 kms from a pleasant village near the town of Moiá, this new property deserves to be seen so I have decided to put it into both the Costa Brava listings and the Barcelona listings, where it really belongs. This is a massive, luxury (again, the L word is justified) mansion on a 10 hectaire hilltop property in the middle of a natural park reserve, with heated indoor and unheated outdoor swimming pools, a very private location with great views of the Pyrenees. The location and the grounds are tops, but what really sets this house apart is the impressively high quality of its interiors. Not inexpensive but do take a look at what a luxury Catalan farmhouse looks like!  Free internet.

in our listings since 1999, 20 or so guests in 10 air conditioned bedrooms, 5 bathrooms + 2 WCs. Located 20 kms south of Girona, one hour north of Barcelona, a safe 20 kms inland from Lloret de Mar and the other southern Costa Brava resorts. This is a huge "luxury" estate (sorry for using the often abused "L" word - I usually don´t - but this one deserves it!) originally dates from 1583, has 8,000m2 of gorgeous gardens, two very large swimming pools, and a nice poolside dining area seating over 50 guests (outdoor kitchen with bbq & 2 bathrooms too). This walled villa with remote control gate is the kind of place you might see on TV except that Can Cunill really does have a lot of old-world charm, with terra cotta floors, wooden ceiling beams, handpainted tilework, and nice details everywhere to please the eye.  My favorite feature is the double kitchen, with two of everything plus indoor BBQ!  Even if you can't afford to stay here - and if you can you probably should - you might like to take a quick look at this house just for the fun of it. I've seen lesser villas going for twice the price!  Free wifi & ADSL internet.  Be sure to see the 9-minute movie on Can Cunill posted in youtube!

Each house has its own outdoor covered BBQ dining areas, the larger of the two areas with seating for all 20+ guests, ping pong, WC, etc.  Note: the 10x6 meter swimming pool is larger than most. This is a very comfortable large property with excellent views!  You won't believe you are so close to Barcelona!  Highly recommended, for small and larger groups alike, who wish to be in a nice quiet location but not far from Barcelona and the sea.  Free WiFi plugin & local cell phones for longer rentals.

Cal Micos is just 8 kms off the AP-7 highway between France and Barcelona, about 17 kms inland from the coast at Lloret or St Feliu, & set amidst broad undulating fields & surrounded on three sides by different low pre-Pyrenees mountain ranges.  The views are just gorgeous!  Originally dating from the mid-18th C, this villa offers comfort - all rooms have a private bathroom - a 9x5m swimming pool , fenced for child-safety, set on a shady lawn under willow trees. I should insist on the good location, 2 kms to Riudarenes town, 17kms to beaches, 20 kms to Girona, and 70 quick highway kms to Barcelona, or take the commuter train every hour 6 kms away in Sils. Not fancy but a solid house, moderately priced, and a lot going for it!  Free wifi, ping pong, and a horseback riding club next door.

- in our listings since 2004, 12 or so guests in 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms.  This is a charming 400m2 farmhouse on a large private property, originally dating from the mid-17thC, very nicely restored, on the outskirts of Riudellots, about 12 kms inland from the mid-Costa Brava resorts around Sant Feliu de Guixols. Along with other venerable houses like Mas Grau, this is another unique place, nicely furnished for and by the owners (not done for rentals), a huge and varied garden (fruit trees, flowers, fields, a pond...) and a nice new fenced-in swimming pool (9.5 x 5m) - all for way below average prices. The photos (I took myself) are not good so be sure to read my description carefully.... No central heating so rents only mid-May to early October. Normally a 2 week minimum in July and August.

- in our listings since 2006, 12 or so guests in 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms.  What a wonderful garden and pool and BBQ area!  Just perfect!  Casadevall is a notable exception from the usual sort of rustic farmhouse property we normally offer. This is the modern 350m2 house of an architect, situated in a 10 hectaire private fenced & wooded property, mostly Mediterranean pine and cork oak, just outside of the town of Sils, 65 kms north of Barcelona by car, 1 km walk to the commuter train. Built some 17 years ago, this designer house has 6 bedrooms (2 en suite) and a total of 4 bathrooms plus one wc poolside, along with a sauna and an exercise room with weights and nautilus machines.  The most outstanding part of the villa is the garden, with its large triangular swimming pool, the lovely covered BBQ dining area just out from the kitchen, and  the porch, with 4 outdoor sofas. It is probably one of the nicest outdoors of any of the houses I offer.  A gorgeous private setting under the soothing shade of fragrant pines!  Free internet.

- in our listings since 2005, 10 or so guests in 5 bedrooms & 5 bathrooms, a beautifully restored house in an unbeatable location, just off the greens of the new PGA golf course at Caldes de Malavella.  This is 12 kms south of Girona town, 15 kms inland from the middle Costa Brava beaches like San Feliu de Guixols.  Aside from the attractive interior, including 2 living rooms and a separate dining room and kitchen, there is a lovely Japanese-inspired landscaped walled garden and a private fenced-in swimming pool.  I have stayed here myself twice and I am very enthusiastic about this new house, which is 4 kms to the commuter train in Caldes to Barcelona (every half hour, 1 hour ride) and just 1 hour's drive from Barcelona on the fast AP-7 highway.  Good feedback and excellent price-quality relationship, especially in off-season.  Recommended even if, like me, you don't play golf!

There are two nice outdoor covered dining areas: one near the BBQ and the cascading pool, and most impressive of all, the other covered outdoor dining area on the back terrace, with access directly from kitchen and living room.  Truly magnificent views.  Feedback so far is very good, and I´ve been working with owners of this house since 1998, so I know you will be in good hands!  Free wifi internet.
