Merci, et sûrement à l'année prochaine !

Hello Charlie,

We had a very nice holiday at cal Micos this year.

Carmen is a very friendly and helpfull host.

The house is not the typical mas of that region, but it is very spacious and the layout is very good.

The rooms have everything you need, it has an almost industrial kitchen.

Outside we liked very much the bbq space with the big square table, the swimming pool was also very nice.Carmen did every day the cleaning and maintenance of it.

Nice vieuw from the pool.

Very large shaded parking place for the cars.

One of the advantages is that we had bedrooms at the ground. Easy for wheelchair users.

Very nice restaurants, lots of supermarkets, nice bakkery at the village of riudarenes.

Girona, barcelona,Lloret da mar nice and easy to visit. Very popular for our youth.

For me, i liked very much the mountenbike routes in the region.

Another positive point: the house was very clean at our arrival.

Maybe one point of criticism, 2 wooden tables, the one at the pool and one at the little terras have to be replaced.(very old and unstable)

I hope this will answer your question.

Hope to hear from you next year.

Greetings from Belgium Fam. hendrickx and Stynen

Hi Charlie..

It was great. Everyone loved the house, the pool, the countryside for jogging and cycling...and yes Carmen is a dear.

We had difficulty to find cheap tennis courts (even with Carmen's help) so we went back to Estan Nouc where we went last year. A bit far away but nice road and the owners of the restaurants are really extremely nice....and the young liked to have beers etc...after a match.

We were sad to see that at Sils the Tennis court had changed to a Paddle courts but the young ones liked the change and they let us have rackets so every one appreciated the change...and for me the swimming pool had not changed, so that's good.

Half way between Sils and Santa Coloma we had than more the choice to go shopping.

For the moment, it seems that everyone will be happy to go back next year. Tell me when I need to decide.....

Dear Charlie,

this year we spent our holiday at Cal Micos with Carmen. Everything was perfect and we really loved to stay there . Thank you for this offer. We would have liked to stay at Cal Micos again in August 2015 but I fear it is already booked.

So we are looking for another place to go. We will be about 16 persons (grown-ups and children aged 12-16 years) and we would like to start our holiday on August 1st and stay for three weeks again. Is there any possibility for us to stay in the near of Girona in one of the houses you offer?

Maybe you have another suggestion for us?

Thank you very much so far

Allt the best

We have recommended our familie and friends and also every one who want to go to Catalonia to look on your site for the villa's. Next year we will come again to Catalonia.

Hi Charlie

We had a great time and the weather couldn't' have been better.

The boys did a lot of motorcross training, and that's the reason we came. It was very good.

The Villa was perfect for our needs, and Carmen could not of been more helpful.

Regards Sharon

Hi Charlie:

We stayed at Cal Micos a couple of summers ago and we´d like to return this coming August from 9 to 23.

Could you arrange this please and remind me of Carmen´s account info for the deposit.

We will be driving up from Barcelona on August 9th and plan to arrive there about 5.00pm (we are a family of four) and we intend to drop off our luggage and then go and do a massive shop in Sils if that is ok with Carmen.

Hi Charlie,

No, not too late at all. Cal Micos will stay fresh in our memories for a long time yet.

The house was excellent, and I use the word in its proper meaning. Exactly as advertised – better even – it lived up to our high expectations. Wonderful setting, plenty of space, great bar-b-q area, huge refrigerator (not even my brother-in-law could fill it with beer!), quiet, with good restaurants nearby. Carmen was a great hostess - very concerned to help, and very friendly too.

We had a fantastic holiday, largely helped by the base provided by Cal Micos. (You can see us on www.chick.org.uk, under ChickFest ; Cal Micos does not feature there, but at least you will see who you were dealing with!)

You have an excellent property on your books in Cal Micos. Please send our thanks and regards to Carmen,

Best regards, David

Charlie,

sorry for the tardy reply - I think I'm still in holiday mode!

We had a fantastic holiday - the location was superb - beautiful, remote and quiet - but near enough to the beaches. We didn't need to go to the coast as the pool kept the children amused all week. We barbeque'd most evenings - what a fantastic barbeque area!

Carmen was lovely and made us feel very welcome. She even took us to the neighbouring farm so that the children could see the ducks and hens! Mental note - must learn some spanish!

A great holiday - many thanks for all your help.

With kind regards
Jack and Simeon Saunders (and of course Danielle, Georgie and Adam!)

Our stay at Cal Micos was wonderful. After the hectic pace of the wedding in Pamplona, Cal Micos was the perfect place for the whole family to be together and unwind. We took many excursions, but for the most part, were content to stay and vegetate around the pool. I would not hesitate to recommend Cal Micos or you and your website to any of my acquaintances. Of particular note, the discovery of Mas Sola was one of the highlights of our whole trip. It deserves more than a passing comment when writing about the restaurants in the area. We became regulars and the staff was superb in their attention, particularly being as many as we were in our party including the children.

Thank you again, for all your efforts on our behalf.

Sincerely,
Tara and family

Yes we had a very enjoyable time at Cal Micos. Everything was excellent. The pool we enjoyed and the barbecue area was the best set up I've seen for a large group. We also loved the luxury of having en suite bathrooms.

The surrounding area lacked a lot of character on the first look; but Carmen took us up to see 'la Mare de Deu de Argimon' it was amazing and just on the door step. We'd love to come back, to relax around the house and to explore a bit more.

We are looking for value for money when we book and the houses you offer are better value than the Chez Nous in France. Also coming from an area that suffers a lot from the influx of English people buying second homes, we appreciate the importance of supporting local people to benefit from tourism.

Thank you for a good website

Hi Charlie

Sorry it's taken so long but I really must write to you regarding Cal Micos.

We had a most wonderful holiday, the accommodation is absolutely excellent and perfect for a large party. The spacious dining areas and lounges, together with the well equipped kitchen and well appointed bedrooms made this house perfect for us.

The pool is excellent and the location is very central for all attractions. The icing on the cake was Carmen, the owner. She is the most charming, interesting and kind person. She works so hard to present the accommodation well, which must be said, is absolutely spotless.

This accommodation is a credit to your web site and we would recommend it to any larger groups looking for "real Spain" accommodation.

Best wishes
the Humphreys family

Charlie

Just to let you know how much we enjoyed our week at Cal Micos in July. Splendid house, and Carmen couldn't have been more friendly & helpful - esp. when we had a fractured computer screen and she at once contacted just the person we needed. Nice pool, wonderful breezy air, sense of space. . . perfect.

One thing - for your clients driving to Cal Micos through France - the tunnel is NOT a good idea - fine for Barcelona, but if you're heading for Vic, the road on the Spanish side of the tunnel is indirect, full of hairpin bends, very slow and quite scary at the end of a long drive. We returned on the motorway through Perpignan, and it took half the time!

Thank you, we'll be back.

Charlie,

Yes I would be happy to write a summary of our stay.

In short, your services were excellent, the villa exceeded our every expectation, and we had a great time. There were one or two things we would have changed slightly, but nothing of major importance or that didn't fall into the category of personal preference. You were right about Carmen, she is a sweet woman and easy to like. I would strongly recommend this villa to other groups, especially active ones like ours!

I'll pass on your salutations to Nikki.
I'm fairly busy with events for the next few days, but next week I should have something back to you.
